Life lately: In pictures

Today I thought I’d share some sweet life moments. There are always pictures being taken of everything these days. So, here are a few of mine that have been refreshing for the soul. Hope you enjoy!

Time with Jesus. The best part of my day.
Baby’s first onesie! PK and I kind of love pugs.
So, Nate, Andrea and their twins made us this onesie that is the most perfect thing ever.
I’ve re-done our room. Kind of. Just with some new pillowcases and sheets. It invites spring in with it’s colors and patterns and I’m really loving how it turned out!
My lil’ Etsy shop has been keeping me busy lately, which has been so fun! I am in LOVE with these blush pink place cards with silver writing that I’m making for Jessica.
Oh just melt my heart, why don’t you?! PK has been traveling for the past two months now and words on this blog cannot describe how much I miss him. Here he is reading to me as we both proofread something he had to fill out for church. He has been working so so hard in his job and I am beyond proud of him. And then to hear him reading about his journey with the Lord here in this picture?! Swoon. I’m in love.
And thankful for FaceTime so I can see the progression of that beard!
Lil’ baby K is growing and I’m feeling movement lately! It’s so stinkin’ amazing.
My predictions: our child will be the hip hop dancer I secretly want to be.
PK’s predictions: I haven’t asked him, but I’m gonna guess that he secretly is banking on the kid coming out of the womb with a Ph.D. #omega3s
We get to find out the gender soon! I’m basically peeing my pants with excitement. Or it could be because I always have to pee. Either one, we are pretty jazzed.
What are some of your sweet life moments lately?

Stitch Fix for mamas!

So, my very favorite gift to give my girls these days are Stitch Fix gift cards.

I want everyone to experience the fun of getting happy mail on their doorsteps. A box of beautiful, quality clothes picked out specifically for them. The gift cards give them a little money toward their Fix, and the clothes just make you feel good!

I’ve had some of my mama friends ask if it would be worth it to sign up. I say a big YES, and today’s Fix really proves it. The stylists really take into consideration where you are in your stage of life, which I really appreciate. For mamas who are nursing, chasing kiddos, at home, at work, out for a walk, I feel like the clothes they give you are beautiful, and easy to romp around in. Good for nursing, and for mamas that don’t. I’m still even wearing my Stitch Fix pieces as a growing pregnant woman. Boom.

Here are a couple of gorgeous pieces that were definite keepers for my dear friend Sara. And there may or may not be a couple of pictures of her sweet daughter, Ruthie who is outta this world cute.
{Now’s the time to insert the baby emoji}

This top was amazing for so many reasons. And it’ll go with pretty much any color skinny jeans.

I love these gold flats she paired with the outfit.

I’m actually showcasing the shirt here, but isn’t the necklace cute? {J.Crew} All my other pictures of Sara in this shirt were waaaaaay too bright, {like, beyond repair} but it was way too lovely. She looked amazing in it. I think this may be your color, Sara.
Oh. My. Goodness. Stop the press. Sara, isn’t this the best picture ever?! My heart is like eeeeeeeeeeee!
If you all can for one second, take a look at this sweater because it’s so pretty.
Then get a load of Ruthie’s cheeks. Sweetest lil thang.

Hope you all loved this as much as I did! The outfits were amazing, Sara looked amazing, sweet Ruthie is amazing, and the thought that Stitch Fix can meet you where you are no matter what stage of life you’re in is pretty stinkin’ amazing too. If you want to learn more about it, click here. xo

18 weeks: A nice, significant bump.

This blog has been such a sweet way for me to document the wonderful, the difficult and everything in between. As this lil baby grows inside of me, I want to make sure I’m documenting the progress. And the bump. So, here are a few photos of the 18 week bump so I can have ’em archived.
Why not add a mug?
Ooooooh! Baby K you are loved so much already! We can’t wait to meet you!
(you can call me mom though)

The Capsule Project: First outfit pairings!

The outfit pairings are underway and I’m excited to share with you some outfits I’ve made with my first capsule wardrobe piece: The Blazer. I got it two Black Fridays ago with my sweet lil mother-in-law. The whole fam shops all day that day. No joke. And it’s awesome. My mother-in-law has more energy when it comes to shopping than any other human being I know. All this to say, we got it on super sale and I love how versatile it is. I can dress it up, or keep it casual. It’s a timeless, cute, statement piece.
Keeping it casual:
This combo consists of The Blazer, a men’s button down, my glorious maternity gray skinnies, the belt that emphasizes my lil’ bump, and let’s not forget my thrift store booties. I pair this outfit with leggings as well because the shirt is the length of a shorter dress.
A bit more dressed up:
Same kind of style with this one, because let’s be honest, I only have two pairs of maternity pants. I paired this one with my favorite green maternity skinnies and a blue and white striped cotton shirt. Booties, always included. To dress it up a bit more, I have nude pumps that I adore.
With this blazer, I feel like I don’t need a statement necklace or really any jewelry because the gold buttons make their own statement.
Soooo, those are just two of the outfits I’ve put together. I’m excited for more spring time weather so I can pair this blazer up with some cute dresses! Right now, I’ve got a broken DSLR that’s in the shop and my photog has been a hard-workin’ travelin’ man so I hope to model some of these lovely outfit combos soon!
I hope these have shown you that it is surprisingly easy to mix and match a couple of outfits using one great piece of clothing. May you be inspired to keep on making that Capsule Wardrobe work for you! xo
